A 1955 Ford in MPD service Photo on the east side of what is now the Boys & Girls Club, and behind the current fire station. At the time what is now the Boys and Girls Club building was being used as the police station. It had been built in the very early 1900s as an elementary school.

Above and below are marketing materials for the Ford police special. Like most car builders Ford had a special package which ussually included a powerful engine. In 1955, they offered the standard T-Bird 292 cid with 188 hp.
