SS City of Topeka

The SS City of Topeka beside the Muir Glacier, circa 1899.  The Pacific Coast Steamship Co operated her until 1916. She was built in 1864 at Chester, Pennsylvania.

From 1916 until 1920 the Admiral Line ran her between San Francisco and Portland. The Inter-Island Steamship Co bought her in 1920. The Los Angeles Steamship Co bought her in 1923 and renamed her Waimea. From then she ran between San Francisco and San Diego via Los Angeles until 1931.  She was eventually sold, and in 1933 she was scrapped.
